Could gluten be affecting your health?
Celiac disease affects approximately 1 in 100 people worldwide, yet most remain undiagnosed. This autoimmune disorder causes your body to attack the small intestine whenever gluten is consumed, leading to symptoms like bloating, fatigue, weight changes, and nutrient deficiencies.
With a quick and painless cheek swab, this test analyzes specific genetic markers that influence how your immune system reacts to gluten. Understanding your risk helps you take control of your health and protect your well-being.

Gluten and Your Genes
Certain genes influence how the immune system reacts to gluten. This test focuses on two key genes: HLA-DQA1 and HLA-DQB1. These genes help the immune system differentiate between harmful substances and the body’s own cells.
This test identifies three high-risk variants:
- HLA-DQA1*05: Found in approximately 90% of individuals diagnosed with celiac disease.
- HLA-DQB1*02: Strongly associated with increased risk, especially in people of Northern European descent.
- HLA-DQB1*0302: Another variant linked to heightened susceptibility.
While these markers indicate genetic risk, having these genes does not guarantee you will develop celiac disease. However, if you test negative for these variants, your likelihood of developing the condition is extremely low.
